Our Construction Site Gates are most commonly used on building and construction sites, fitting perfectly alongside either a steel or timber hoarding system. These heavy-duty gates are very easy to install. The gate posts for the construction site gates sit 600mm in-ground (the gate posts can be made to 1000mm if required) and are easily connected to the gate leaf frames using a simple eyebolt system. This adjustable eyebolt system allows you to amend the height of the gate leafs to fit the contour of the ground.
Many people prefer a mesh construction site gate over a gate with a solid steel infill for a number of reasons. Firstly, they are considerably lighter, making the installation of the gates by hand much simpler. Secondly, being able to see through the mesh construction site gate is preferable from a health and safety aspect, as you can see what is on either side of the gate when opening and closing it.
Our gates come in a range of sizes to fit your needs. Most commonly, they are 2.0m high to fit alongside steel or low height timber hoarding, or 2.4m high to fit alongside the majority of timber hoarding. We also offer them in various widths, with the most popular being 5.0m wide, as it allows for two lanes of traffic comfortably. Larger gates of 6.0m and 7.0m widths are recommended for particularly active construction sites with a constant stream of large vehicles passing through them.

Most construction and building sites opt for painted gates (one-side) based on a price point. However, painting does not provide a perfect finish and this can result in running and/or chipping. Powder coating is a much superior finish and is suggested for situations where aesthetics are important.
It is important when installing these gates to allow the posts to set. The most common way to install the gates is to install the posts, connect the gate leafs, and then leave these gate leafs in a fixed position, with some form of support under them taking the weight. They should remain supported in a fixed position until the gates have set. Removing this support before the posts are ready will cause them to lean.

Frames are made up of 60 x 40 x 2.0mm Hot Rolled Square Hollow Section.
Posts are made up of 100 x 100 x 4.0mm Hot Rolled Square Hollow Section.
The vehicle gate posts sit 600mm in-ground, subsequently they are 600mm longer than the size of the vehicle gate e.g. a 2.4 meter high vehicle gate will come with 3.0 meter vehicle gate posts.
The posts and vehicle gate frame are connected using an eyebolt system.
All of our heavy duty construction site vehicle gates come with a slide bolt allowing you to secure them shut and maximise site security.
