The primary purpose of the SafeEdge barrier is to create a secure temporary fence around the perimeter of a working area, providing a protective barrier against accidental falls. Particularly on high-rise construction projects, where external walls may not yet be in place, it is crucial to have a reliable temporary fencing system to prevent accidents and safeguard the workforce. The roof edge protection system is commonly installed along the edges of the building shell, offering comprehensive coverage. Depending on the building structure and construction type, the edge protection system can be fitted to scaffolding, steelwork, or integrated into the concrete slab.
By installing SafeEdge barriers on each floor of a new project, work can proceed simultaneously across multiple levels, significantly accelerating the construction process while ensuring the safety of the workforce.
The second purpose of the SafeEdge edge protection system is to contain materials and debris within the worksite, preventing them from falling or rolling off. The mesh barriers effectively stop large items, and the added kickplate at the bottom prevents smaller debris from escaping underneath the barrier. With SafeEdge installed around the perimeter, both the workers on the installed floor and those below are protected from potential hazards.
The SafeEdge barrier securely attaches to the edge protection posts, which are compatible with various bases for easy installation. Additionally, fixing clips can be positioned at different heights on the posts, providing added stability and ensuring the SafeEdge barrier remains securely in place.
