At its core, the system incorporates a high-performance Class B1 safety net, featuring a 60 x 60mm primary mesh combined with a 20 x 20mm debris layer. This dual-layer configuration is proven to arrest loads of up to 100kg from heights of up to 6 metres, in full compliance with EN 1263. The net’s inherent elasticity, combined with controlled flex within the frame, dissipates impact forces efficiently reducing the risk of injury and preventing materials from rebounding or fragmenting onto areas below. With an energy absorption capacity of up to 7 kJ, the system significantly outperforms conventional protection solutions, while the finer debris mesh ensures even small particles are safely contained.

Designed with practicality in mind, the HERMEQ Fan can be folded inward for safe retrieval of fallen materials and to maintain operational flexibility. It can be installed directly onto steel or concrete structures or integrated with scaffolding using purpose-designed fixings. Multiple size options—including standard, maxi, and corner configurations—allow the system to adapt to complex building geometries, including structures with overhangs.

The system is also optimised for dynamic construction environments. It can be quickly repositioned by crane and progressively raised as the build advances. Units can be overlapped without the need for additional fixings, or securely joined where required, providing flexibility in layout and coverage. An optional wind-lock mechanism enhances stability under normal wind conditions while supporting safe retraction during extreme weather.
