Coir Mats are a cost-effective erosion control solution for soil and seed protection as well as promoting vegetation on areas of disturbed ground. This erosion control blanket range has been constructed with a layer of coconut fibre encased in jute or polypropylene nets stitched together.

400B Coir Mat – stitched erosion control blanket with jute net and thread used on slopes with moderate run-off and is biodegradable between 1 and 2 years.
Once applied and laid out, Coir Mats provide immediate protection against wind and water erosion to promote vegetation establishment and absorbing moisture which is then released to the plants in dry periods. Plant development is strongly promoted using Coir Mats.
We recommend using 2.5 pins per m2 and allowing for 10% of wastage and laps. All grades are fixed to the soil using steel or wooden pins.
