Oil Absorption Pillow
Quickest Available Delivery: Quickest Available Delivery: 14 Day Delivery
An oil absorption pillow that quickly responds to spills by absorbing hydrocarbons and creating a solid rubber-like substance to retain the hydrocarbons permanently. Fast and effective the oil absorption pillow can be used to clean up a sheen or minor spills before dispersing water to surface water drains or the environment. The oil-absorbent pillows will remove all hydrocarbons dispersed in water, whether in the emulsified or dissolved phase.
Commonly used in excavations on construction sites and oil filled cables, the oil absorption pillow traps hydrocarbons with its smart polymer which reacts and creates a solid rubber-like substance that stays within the pillow permanently. By placing the pillow in contaminated water, the hydrocarbons absorb and solidify, the polymer inside the pillow hardens and will be discoloured once absorbed. Once used, the pillow can be wringed out, wringing out clear clean water whilst the contaminants stay inside the pillow.
Traditional oil spill control pillows lack the ability to retain hydrocarbons permanently and often leak out. This oil absorption pillow is innovative and retains the hydrocarbons and separates the water from it.
