Concrete Frost Blanket
Concrete Frost Blankets are used to provide protection for newly laid concrete in extreme weather conditions in summer and winter. Frost Blankets have been designed to ensure concrete isn't damaged by freezing temperatures and wind when curing.
Can be used in temperatures between -100 to +80 degrees.

These Frost Cloths have been manufactured from closed cell expanded polyethylene foam due to its extremely low thermal conductivity (0.034 W/M/K), making it ideal for thermal installation.
With the closed cell structure construction, water absorption is very low – only 2% after 24 hours total immersion in water. In addition to this, thermal insulation is retained even in wet conditions.
Each Concrete Frost Blanket is highly resistant to abrasion and tearing – being able to be reused many times. Also easily cut on site for awkward shapes and structures – for slabs they can be quickly and easily rolled out.
Â
Installation:
- These Concrete Freeze Blankets are easily rolled out to cover newly laid concrete after a standard "going-off" time has elapsed.
- Where jointing is necessary a minimum overlap of 300mm should be allowed.
- Your Frost Blanket should be secured with bricks or lengths of timber to prevent wind movement.
- Where a moisture barrier is required, it should be laid to the sub-floor before applying the Frost Blanket.
