The 0.9m HERMEQ Floodstop Barrier offers maximum flood resilience in a single deployable unit. Taller than standard water filled flood barriers, this 900mm high solution creates a robust shield against deep water ingress and heavy rainfall run-off.

Constructed from LDPE and weighing 26kg when empty, it becomes fully effective once self-filled with floodwater. The 1m long barriers interconnect via multi-hub keys (supplied with each unit), which allow for angle changes and wall connections—ideal for enclosing areas or rerouting water around sensitive infrastructure.

  • Self-balancing – No mechanical fixings required; the filled base provides reliable, wind-resistant ballast.
  • Reusable and recyclable – Built for long-term use in high-risk flood zones or repeat deployment sites.
  • Visual warning colours – Red and white as standard; other colours available for large orders.
  • No digging or surface prep – Works on tarmac, concrete, and level soil. Not recommended for gravel.
  • Faster than sandbags – Clean to store, transport, and deploy during emergencies or seasonal flooding.

The Floodstop 0.9m system is relied on by councils, facility managers and large contractors working in coastal towns, flood plains, and high-risk basements or utility networks. Its elevated height makes it the go-to option when typical 0.5m barriers fall short—protecting key entrances, data centres, substations and plant equipment from deeper floods.

With no permanent fixtures or expensive install costs, this barrier delivers long-term security with complete flexibility. Whether you’re responding to a weather warning or planning for a flood-prone winter season, this water filled barrier allows proactive protection with minimal overhead.

  • Concrete-weighted joining keys – Ensure strong structural links at joins and directional changes.
  • Compact nesting system – Units slot inside one another for low-footprint off-season storage.
  • Used across the UK – Trusted by local authorities, industrial estates, and critical care buildings.

This unit is often used alongside Floodstop 0.5m for stepped protection systems or when adapting between different terrain heights. Its taller structure ensures enhanced coverage for sites with underground access points, car parks, loading bays, or riverside construction zones.

  • Height: 900mm
  • Depth: 750mm

What makes this different from the 0.5m Floodstop?
This unit is 900mm high and heavier when filled, offering greater protection for high-water-risk sites or deeper flood zones.

Is it easy to install alone?
Yes. One person can deploy each 26kg unit without tools or lifting gear.

Do I need to add ballast?
No. The self-fill system uses water ingress to automatically provide ballast during use.

How do I store them?
Floodstop barriers are designed to nest inside each other when empty, minimising storage footprint.

What ground surfaces is this suitable for?
Best for hard surfaces, flat soil or grass. Not recommended on loose gravel or highly uneven terrain.
