Low Profile Jib Attachments have been designed to make difficult load relocation tasks easier, safer, and quicker. With a variety of potential lifting centres, this particular Jib Attachment is an industry-leading Jib perfect for use in multiple industries.
A Jib with plenty of positive features that allow for the safe and easy transportation of bulk loads, the versatility of the Low-Profile Jib has seen the attachment commonly used in warehouses, on construction sites, and in retail environments.
The presence of five different load centres and a swivel hook provides alternative lift locations on the attachment at different max load capacities. Although these load capacities change they always remain at a premium level, still providing the user with the capabilities to complete difficult lifting tasks.
Each of the five Low-Profile Jib Attachment variations has five different load centres at 500 mm, 1000 mm, 1250 mm, 1500 mm, and 1750 mm. Each product model has differing maximum load limits with the maximum load capacity of the Low Profile 4000 kg model taken from use at the 500 cm centre.
Versatile enough to be used with most forklifts and telehandlers, the Low Profile Forklift Jib Attachment has a maximum fork centre of 150 mm x 50 mm at 281 mm centres.
Once installed in place, the reliable and extremely durable zinc-plated heel pins are used to securely attach the Heavy Duty Jib Attachment in place, allowing the Jib to perform without risk of coming loose.
Fitted with a four-way pocket entry for ease of storage, the easy to use and easier to store Jib even makes the process of not being in use easier, allowing the attachment itself to be easily stored and relocated.
Taking into consideration the high importance of health and safety in the workplace, the Low Jib Attachment has been finished in a bright orange painted finish to remain as visible as possible to all those in the workspace.
Incredibly easy to use, the Low Profile Jib should always be given a risk assessment prior to use. Any damages or concerns should be reported and repaired immediately before any usage occurs.
Once the risk assessment has been completed, begin by positioning the forks on the forklift or telehandler to the correct positioning to enter the Low-Profile-Jib before removing the zinc plated heel pins.
The driver of the vehicle should then drive forwards, driving the forks of the vehicle into the fork pockets of the Jib Attachment. Once inserted, the zinc-plated heel pins should be reinserted directly behind the heel of the fork using the safety lynchpin in the hole provided.
Continue by positioning the swivel hook and shackle at the appropriate lifting point, ensuring all components are secure and in the correct location. The Jib can now be used to begin lifting.
In order to get the most out of the Low Profile Jib and to experience a longer product life, regular maintenance procedures should be followed weekly.
The general condition of the Jib should be taken into consideration with weld points, fork pockets, heel pins, and swivel hook and shackle components areas that should be given continuous attention. As mentioned previously, if any damages or concerns are noted during these checks, they should be reported and repaired immediately.
General surface rusting is a common issue with all forklift attachments and can be treated easily with paint, primers, and prohibitory inhibitors.
The Low Profile Jib is certified for up to six months from the date of manufacture. After this date passes, it is the responsibility of the customer to have the product inspected by the relevant authority.
Before use, both the vehicle and attachment should be checked to ensure they are capable of lifting the intended load and that the Jib has been set to the correct lifting point.
Heel pins and moveable components should always be checked to ensure they are secure and being used in the correct manner before use.
Angular lifts, sideways lifts, and shock loading should always be avoided as the Jib Attachment has not been designed to hold the set maximum load capacities in that manner.
