Machined Half Round Rails
Our Machined Half Round Wood Rails are typically used to erect post & rail fencing lines in agricultural and domestic environments. The rails are simply bolted onto timber posts which have been fitted into the ground to create a fencing line around fields, paddocks and agricultural boundaries. They can be attached to either round or square posts.
The timber rails come in one standard size – 100mm x 3.6m – and are lightweight and easy to replace and repair.
The tanalised rails are pressure treated to UC4 Standard to increase durability to protect against damage cause by weathering, fungi and insect infestation including termites. The treatment leaves the timber with an initial green colouration but over time will slowly turn to brown and eventually a natural grey.
Timber is considered an aesthetically pleasing fencing option as it ages beautifully and naturally over time. It is one of the few natural and renewable building materials and is more environmentally friendly than emission-intensive steel, aluminium and concrete with a lower net environmental impact.
