The MultiPercher Trailer Safety Solution is a freestanding overhead fall arrest anchorage system designed for safer work on trailers, flatbeds and articulated vehicles where a permanent anchor point is unavailable. Each MultiPercher combines a concrete-filled ballast bin, 350 adaptor and cantilevered primary body with an Abtech TORQ Lite 6m Webbing Fall Arrest device, creating an independent overhead tie-off solution without requiring modification to the vehicle.

The MultiPercher is designed for working environments where personnel need access to trailer beds or elevated loads but a suitable permanent overhead anchorage point is not available. Its freestanding design creates an independent fall arrest anchorage beside the vehicle, helping operators establish a dedicated tie-off point without modifying the trailer itself.
- Freestanding kentledge design – A substantial concrete-filled steel ballast supports the structure independently of the vehicle, avoiding the need for trailer-mounted anchorage or permanent vehicle modification.
- Adjustable overhead anchorage position – The cantilevered upper arm positions the anchor point above the working area to support suitable personal fall arrest equipment.
- Modular construction – The system comprises a kentledge base, central support mast, stabilising supports and hinged cantilever arm, allowing the main components to be handled separately during installation or relocation.
- Abtech TORQ Lite fall arrest device included – Each MultiPercher is supplied with an Abtech TORQ Lite Webbing Fall Arrest 6m device for use from the overhead anchorage point.
- Adjustable ballast feet – The concrete-filled base incorporates adjustable feet to assist with horizontal levelling during installation.
- Single and Double layouts available – The system can be configured around different trailer-access requirements without changing or permanently fixing equipment to the vehicle.
The MultiPercher structure combines a high adapter and stabilising supports with a hinged upper anchorage assembly. The overall device reaches approximately 6.5m high, with the cantilevered arm extending above the working area. The system is designed in accordance with EN 795:2012 and DIN CEN/TS 16415 (2017-11).Â
The Single System is intended to provide anchorage coverage from one side of a trailer. It is suited to operations where personnel normally access or work from a defined side of the vehicle. Key advantages include rapid deployment once the system has been prepared for use, an independent kentledge base, adjustable anchorage positioning and no requirement to modify the trailer.
The Double System uses MultiPercher units on both sides of the trailer to increase the available anchorage coverage. It is particularly suited to loading bays, larger vehicles and operations where personnel need to work across a wider area or where access may be required from either side of the trailer. The layout also supports simultaneous user protection where the approved equipment configuration permits it.
Each MultiPercher unit is supplied with the main structural components and fall arrest device required for the system configuration:
- 1 x MultiPercher Primary Body – The hinged upper assembly incorporating the cantilevered anchorage arm.
- 1 x MultiPercher 350 Adaptor – The supporting mast and stabilising structure positioned between the ballast and primary body.
- 1 x MultiPercher Large Ballast Bin – The freestanding kentledge base designed to be filled with concrete.
- 1 x Abtech TORQ Lite Webbing Fall Arrest 6m – The retractable fall arrest device supplied for connection to the overhead anchor point.
The concrete-filled ballast provides the freestanding kentledge base, while the 350 Adaptor supports the Primary Body and positions the cantilevered anchorage arm above the working area.
The Abtech TORQ Lite fall arrest device is connected at the overhead anchor point, providing the retractable webbing connection used as part of the worker's personal fall arrest setup. Because the MultiPercher is supported independently at ground level, no permanent anchorage needs to be installed on the trailer itself.
Typical applications include:
- Distribution centres – for loading, unloading and accessing goods on flatbed or open trailers.
- Logistics hubs – where multiple trailers are loaded, checked or handled throughout the working day.
- Haulage operators – for tasks requiring personnel to work on trailers or elevated loads.
- Construction sites – where materials or equipment need to be accessed from trailer beds.
- Ports and terminals – for vehicle loading, unloading and related elevated access tasks.
- Utilities – for operational and maintenance work involving commercial vehicles or transported equipment.
- Rail environments – where an independent overhead anchorage solution is required for suitable work-at-height activities.

What is the MultiPercher Trailer Safety Solution?
The MultiPercher is a freestanding trailer fall arrest anchorage system designed to provide an elevated anchor point for suitable personal fall arrest equipment. It is intended for work on trailers, flatbeds and articulated vehicles where a permanent anchorage point is unavailable.
Does the MultiPercher need to be fixed to the trailer?
No. The MultiPercher uses a freestanding concrete-filled ballast system, so the anchorage structure does not need to be fixed to or permanently installed on the trailer.
What is included with each MultiPercher?
Each MultiPercher unit includes one MultiPercher Primary Body, one MultiPercher 350 Adaptor, one MultiPercher Large Ballast Bin and one Abtech TORQ Lite Webbing Fall Arrest 6m device.
Does the MultiPercher include a fall arrest device?
Yes. Each MultiPercher unit is supplied with one Abtech TORQ Lite Webbing Fall Arrest 6m device for use from the overhead anchorage point.
What is the difference between the Single and Double MultiPercher systems?
The Single system provides anchorage coverage from one side of a trailer. The Double system uses MultiPercher units on both sides of the trailer to provide twin anchorage coverage and a larger working area.
How high is the MultiPercher anchor point?
The MultiPercher has an overall height of 6.50m, with the anchor point positioned at the top of the cantilevered anchorage structure.
Does the MultiPercher ballast need to be filled with concrete?
Yes. The MultiPercher Large Ballast Bin is a steel formwork designed to be filled with concrete. The completed ballast has a documented total weight of 1900kg and includes adjustable feet for levelling.
