Economy range Blue Pin Shackles both serve the same purpose however our premium Green Pin range has been produced by a world-renowned manufacturer using state-of-the-art manufacturing processes ensuring all products fully conform to BS EN Standards (BS EN 1388). Despite having the same spec, Blue Pin Shackles are not manufactured in line with these standards and do not conform to all requirements in this.
Safety Nut & Bolt Pin Shackles have a safety bolt offering double safety with a split pin and safety bolt which prevents the accidental unscrewing of the pin.
Bolt Shackles typically require the use of a wrench to loosen or tighten the nut whereas Screw Collar Pin Shackles are designed for a quick and easy connection.
We have both Bow Shackles (Anchor Shackles) and Dee Shackles (Chain Shackles) available.
- Bow Shackles:
- Have a larger rounded shape to provide more room for multiple connections making them suitable for applications where multiple connections or angles are required.
- Commonly used in applications where a larger loop or clearance is needed in cases such as towing, lifting and anchor applications.
- Dee Shackles:
- Have a straight pin across the opening forming a D shape making them suitable for applications where a compact connection is required or suited.
- Preferred in applications where a narrower profile is required – commonly used in lifting and rigging situations.
