HERMEQ’s Fencing Stabiliser and Block Tray combination enhances the stability and wind resistance of temporary fencing and hoarding systems. Supplied as a kit, the block tray sits flat to the ground while the stabiliser connects securely to your fencing panel or hoarding system. The 4.0mm steel tray allows for placement of ballast — such as rubber blocks — to prevent movement under wind load.
This stabiliser kit is compatible with HERMEQ’s full range of mesh panels, steel hoarding, and acoustic barriers. Use one unit every other panel or increase to one per panel in exposed or hazardous environments.
- Tray dimensions: 800mm x 500mm
- Steel gauge: 4.0mm
- Connection: Bolts directly to panel frame
- Finish: Galvanised or painted
Temporary fencing stabilisers are a critical safety element for outdoor installations subject to wind, foot traffic, or public interface. The HERMEQ stabiliser with block tray provides a flexible alternative to in-ground systems. Without requiring digging or ground anchors, this setup uses weight-based support to prevent toppling or panel collapse.
Applications include:
- Mesh fencing around construction compounds
- Temporary steel hoarding on public footpaths
- Acoustic barriers around live event zones
- Wind-sensitive installations on highways or rail projects
The tray accepts common ballast such as recycled rubber blocks or concrete slabs. When paired with HERMEQ 18kg rubber feet, the system becomes a highly stable, reusable solution that meets UK compliance standards. Setup takes minutes and requires minimal tools, making it suitable for both long-term perimeter fencing and rapidly deployed site protection.
The 4.0mm tray resists deformation, corrosion, and wear, even in wet or freezing conditions. Unlike in-ground stabilisers, this system allows for reconfiguration as site layouts change. It is ideal for contractors needing consistent compliance and easy logistics across multi-phase projects.
HERMEQ offers full UK delivery and support for panel stabilisation strategies. Combine this item with our full range of fencing accessories to build robust and compliant temporary boundaries.

Temporary fencing without stabilisation poses risks of collapse, injury, and disruption. HERMEQ’s stabiliser and block tray units are built for strength, reusability, and real-world reliability.
Core Features:
- Compatible with HERMEQ mesh and hoarding fencing systems
- Block tray made from durable 4.0mm steel sheet
- Simple bolt-on installation to standard panel legs
- Designed for surface-level deployment – no digging or anchoring needed
- Accepts multiple ballast formats – including 18kg rubber feet, slabs, or concrete blocks
When to Use This System
While basic temporary fencing may stand with feet alone in calm conditions, it can become unstable during wind or physical contact. This system is recommended when:
- Fencing lines exceed 50m without breaks
- Public or pedestrian access runs adjacent to fencing
- Fencing is installed in exposed or elevated terrain
- High winds, rain, or snow are likely
Alternative Systems
For light-duty use, HERMEQ also offers in-ground stabilisers, which pin directly into soil. These are faster to install but provide less structural ballast. The block tray system is superior for long-term installations where maximum stability is a priority.
Durability and Maintenance
The galvanised steel tray resists corrosion and deformation. Units are easy to stack and transport via forklift. They can be reused across dozens of projects with minimal wear and minimal maintenance.
Installation Support
HERMEQ provides installation guidance and support on temporary fencing layouts, ballast calculations, and safety compliance across the UK. Reach out to our team for help optimising your perimeter stability plans.
How does the stabiliser connect to the fencing?
It bolts directly to the fencing panel or hoarding frame using pre-drilled holes and supplied fixings.
What can I use for ballast on the tray?
Common ballast includes HERMEQ rubber fence feet, concrete slabs, or other weighted blocks.
Is this better than an in-ground stabiliser?
It depends on your site. Block trays provide better wind resistance and reusability. In-ground versions are simpler but less stable in harsh weather.
Do I need one on every panel?
Use one every other panel for normal conditions. For exposed sites or extreme weather, we recommend one per panel.
