The HERMEQ grass grid is a long-term ground protection mat designed to stabilise and reinforce soft or permeable ground. Each 475mm x 475mm grid panel supports up to 160 tonnes per square metre and is suitable for HGV traffic, emergency access or parking on grass and gravel.
These interlocking tiles create a solid but open structure that encourages grass growth, water infiltration, and load distribution—perfect for driveways, access tracks, event fields and green car parks. Compatible with SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and manufactured from 100% recycled plastic for low environmental impact.

Designed for rapid and long-lasting installation, HERMEQ’s grass grid system transforms turf into a safe, reinforced access surface. Its strong interlocking frame resists rutting and deformation, even under repeated vehicle use. Grass or gravel can be infilled, enabling aesthetic surfaces that meet planning or drainage rules.
This makes the ground protection mat ideal for fire lanes, pedestrian routes, rural access, overflow parking and site compound edges. Unlike tarmac, it allows rainwater to soak through, reducing runoff and erosion—key for SUDS compliance. The open grid allows for both seeded and pre-grown turf to establish root systems.
The material is UV stable and non-rotting, remaining effective over years of exposure. Sections can be replaced or extended, making it ideal for modular landscaping. Each tile clicks together with adjoining panels to create a seamless surface without trip hazards or uneven edges.
