V Fence - Plastic Temporary Fencing

Product Highlights

  • 2m full-height fencing – 2005mm-high x 1000mm-wide panels provide taller temporary separation than standard low-level traffic barriers.
  • Non-conductive plastic construction – A non-metal fencing option suited to works where electrical conductivity is a consideration.
  • Stackable modular design – Lightweight 8.2kg panels stack efficiently and use angular joints to accommodate corners and changes in direction.

SKU PB369397

The V Fence is a 2m-high plastic temporary fencing system for roadworks, street works, utility works and temporary pedestrian separation. Its non-conductive construction provides an alternative to metal temporary fencing, while the lightweight, stackable format makes panels easier to handle, transport and store. Each panel measures 2005mm high x 1000mm wide and weighs 8.2kg.

V Fence is designed for contractors who need a full-height temporary fencing system without the weight and exposed metal construction of conventional steel mesh panels. Its plastic format combines pedestrian separation, visibility and easier handling in a compact modular panel.

  • Full-height temporary separation – At 2005mm high, the panel creates a more substantial boundary than conventional low-level road barriers and is suitable for temporary pedestrian and work-zone layouts.
  • Non-conductive construction – The plastic design avoids exposed metal mesh and is suited to environments where electrical conductivity is undesirable, including utility and electrical work zones.
  • Chapter 8 compliant – The product is stated as Chapter 8 compliant for temporary traffic-management applications.
  • Reflective visibility – The existing product specification states BS EN 12899-1 reflectivity for improved visibility in temporary works areas.
  • Flexible barrier runs – Angular joints allow panels to follow corners, bends and irregular layouts rather than forming only straight runs.

At 8.2kg per panel, V Fence is considerably lighter than many conventional steel temporary fencing panels and is intended for fast-deploy temporary works. The 50mm stacking depth helps reduce the storage footprint when multiple panels are transported or held at a depot.

The open mesh format allows air to pass through the panel, while compatible Rubber Fence Feet and Hi-Vis Ballast Blocks can be used where additional support is required on exposed sites or uneven ground. Site-specific conditions should still determine the level of stabilisation required.

What is V Fence plastic temporary fencing used for?

V Fence is used to create temporary full-height separation around roadworks, street works, utility works and traffic-management areas. Its plastic, non-conductive format makes it particularly relevant where conventional metal fencing is less suitable.

What size is each V Fence panel?

Each panel measures 2005mm high x 1000mm wide, with an overall depth of 75mm. The stacking depth is 50mm and each panel weighs 8.2kg.

Is V Fence non-conductive?

Yes. The panel uses non-metal construction and is non-conductive, making it suitable for work zones where electrical conductivity is a concern.

Is V Fence Chapter 8 compliant?

Yes. V Fence is Chapter 8 compliant and uses reflectivity meeting BS EN 12899-1.

How do V Fence panels connect around corners?

The panel system uses angular joints, allowing connected sections to change direction around corners, bends and irregular temporary layouts.

How can V Fence be stabilised in windy conditions?

Compatible Rubber Fence Feet and Hi-Vis Ballast Blocks can be used where additional ground support is required. The appropriate stabilisation should be selected according to the site layout, surface and exposure.

How does V Fence differ from metal temporary mesh fencing?

V Fence uses lightweight, non-conductive plastic construction and measures 1m wide per panel. Conventional temporary mesh fencing typically uses larger galvanised steel panels and is more commonly used for temporary construction and demolition perimeter fencing.
