The HERMEQ Loose-Leg Crowd Control Barrier is a 2.3m-wide steel pedestrian barrier designed for temporary crowd management, queue layouts and restricted areas. Its detachable flat metal feet allow the frames and bases to be stacked and stored separately, making it a practical option for events, construction sites, venues and hire fleets. Hook-and-eye connectors allow multiple barriers to be joined into continuous pedestrian-control runs.

The Loose-Leg Crowd Control Barrier is designed for trade buyers who regularly install, move and store pedestrian barriers. Because the feet detach from the frame, the barriers can be stacked separately from their bases, making the format practical for event teams, contractors, venues, local authorities and hire fleets handling barriers in volume.
- Removable barrier feet – The frame fits into detachable flat metal feet, reducing the space taken up by permanently attached bases during storage and transport.
- Crimped bottom-tube ends – The ends of the bottom tube are crimped before welding, creating a larger contact area where the bottom rail meets the main frame.
- Tubular steel frame – The barrier uses a 38.1mm-diameter circular hollow-section frame with a stated 1.2mm gauge.
- Hook-and-eye connections – Each barrier connects directly to the next to create longer pedestrian runs without separate panel connectors.
- Choice of finish – The product data lists galvanised, painted and powder-coated options, allowing the finish to be selected according to the available configuration.
These 2.3m loose-leg barriers can be used to manage pedestrian movement, form temporary queues, identify restricted areas and create defined access routes. Their removable-foot format is particularly useful where barriers must be loaded, unloaded or returned to storage after each project.
The detachable feet are not included with the barrier and must be ordered separately. For a connected run, HERMEQ advises purchasing one more flat metal foot than the number of barriers. For example, a run of ten barriers would require eleven feet.
Need to compare crowd-management options? Browse the full Crowd Control Barriers range first. Choose the Fixed-Leg Crowd Control Barrier when permanently attached feet are preferred, or add a Basic Walkthrough Crowd Barrier to create a defined pedestrian access point. For a more visible loose-leg option, compare the Hi-Vis Pedestrian Barrier – Loose Leg. Where barriers are handled in volume, consider a Crowd Control Barrier Trolley for moving them around a site or venue, or a Crowd Barrier Stillage for organised bulk storage and transport.

Do these loose-leg crowd barriers include the feet?
No. Detachable crowd barrier feet are required but sold separately. HERMEQ recommends ordering one more foot than the number of barriers in a connected run.
What size is the loose-leg crowd control barrier?
The barrier is 2.3m wide and 1.1m high.
Why choose a loose-leg crowd barrier?
Loose-leg barriers allow the frames and feet to be separated for stacking, transport and storage. This can be useful for buyers moving or storing barriers in larger quantities.
How do the barriers connect?
The frames use hook-and-eye side connections. These allow neighbouring barriers to be linked into continuous pedestrian-control runs, temporary queues and restricted areas.
What is the difference between loose-leg and fixed-leg barriers?
A loose-leg barrier uses removable feet that are ordered separately. A fixed-leg barrier has its feet permanently welded to the frame. Loose-leg models prioritise compact, separated stacking, while fixed-leg barriers avoid the need to manage separate feet.
Which finishes are available?
The product specifications list galvanised, painted and powder-coated finishes. Availability should be confirmed against the selected product configuration before ordering.
