The SteelWall In-Ground Hoarding is a robust hoarding fence system for long-term construction site perimeter control. Engineered for heavy-duty security, it outperforms timber hoarding and temporary fencing in stability, durability, and site presentation.

This steel hoarding setup uses in-ground posts and overlapping steel fence panels connected with top hat brackets and M10 bolts. Panels are available in 2.0m or 2.4m heights, and are fixed 600mm below ground to enhance wind resistance and site safety in exposed areas.

  • High wind resistance – In-ground posts prevent panel failure in adverse conditions.
  • Customisable finish – Painted or powder-coated options to meet project branding needs.
  • Reusable steel design – Minimises waste and provides long-term return on investment.
  • Access compatible – Supports integration with pedestrian gates and vehicle gates.
  • Heavy-duty hoarding panels – Ideal replacement for timber fencing on valuable sites.

Frequently used in high-traffic, high-value areas such as city centre developments, the SteelWall hoarding fence system protects sites while presenting a professional front. It supports compliance with perimeter fencing legislation, offering superior performance over temporary fencing setups.

SteelWall is a semi-permanent hoarding fence system designed for long-duration use in construction environments where high security and durability are essential. Unlike lightweight temporary fencing or single-use timber hoarding panels, SteelWall provides a professional, load-resistant, and aesthetically adaptable perimeter solution.

The 2.1m wide hoarding panels are profiled from 0.75mm thick steel cladding, joined at the centre and secured with rivets for strength. These are fixed to in-ground steel posts (typically 600mm embedded) using top hat brackets and M10 bolts, creating a rigid and tamper-resistant structure. This setup avoids many of the weaknesses of surface-mounted hoarding or temporary fencing systems.

Key specifications include:

  • Heights: 2.0m or 2.4m
  • Weight: 30kg to 40kg per panel
  • Cladding: 0.75mm thick, secured with tek screws and spot welding
  • Finish: Galvanised, painted (one side) or powder coated for long-term branding
  • Frame: 43mm x 35mm x 1.2mm channel with lip to prevent rattling

The SteelWall hoarding system is ideal for secure storage compounds, logistics staging zones, or high-value asset sites. It provides more than just protection—it enables visual consistency and regulation compliance for contractors managing extended builds. Many customers pair the system with HERMEQ pedestrian and vehicle gates to maintain site control without compromising accessibility.

In terms of branding, clients may opt for powder coating to align the fencing with project identity. Painted finishes offer a cost-effective alternative, though with less visual consistency. Both options ensure your site perimeter aligns with professional and safety requirements expected in modern construction environments.

SteelWall is especially valued for its reusability. Once a project is completed, panels and posts can be relocated to the next site, avoiding repeated costs for consumable fencing. Contractors managing multi-site operations gain operational efficiency and long-term savings through this modular design approach.

Whether you're working in city infrastructure, energy construction, retail expansion or public realm improvements, this hoarding fence solution delivers the resilience, branding capability, and site safety you need.

Do I need hoarding fence systems around construction sites?
Yes. UK regulations require boundaries to be clearly defined. This hoarding fence ensures compliance and reduces public and workforce risk.

What makes the SteelWall system better than timber or temporary fencing?
SteelWall offers superior wind resistance, aesthetics, and durability. It doesn’t rot, break or fail in extreme weather like timber or lightweight barriers.

Can I customise the hoarding panels with branding?
Yes. We offer powder coating and painting services, allowing your site perimeter to match your branding or corporate identity.

What sizes are available?
Panels are available in 2.0m and 2.4m heights, with post depths ensuring a secure in-ground fit for extended projects.
