Adjustable Work Positioning Kernmantle Rope Lanyard
An Adjustable Work Positioning Kernmantle Rope Lanyard is a specialised safety tool designed for work positioning in various elevated or confined spaces. It has a maximum length of 2 meters and is designed to allow workers to be supported in a suspended position while having both hands free to perform tasks. A restraint lanyard prevents access to areas with a fall risk. Forked lanyards are designed for the same purpose but allow for movement between intermediate anchor points. Work positioning lanyards can be used where there is no fall risk; otherwise, they must be combined with a suitable fall arrest system.
Features
-
Adjustable: Can be modified in length to be appropriate for the task at hand. Provides flexibility and versatility in different work scenarios.
-
Kernmantle Rope: Refers to a specific type of rope construction that consists of a strong core (kern) and a protective outer sheath (mantle). This construction provides strength, durability, and protection against abrasion. In the context of a work positioning lanyard, the kernmantle rope is used to create a secure connection between the worker and an anchor point.
