HERMEQ’s Palisade Network Rail Fencing system is a high-security perimeter solution designed for railway, data centre, government, and infrastructure environments. Fully compliant with NR/L2/TRK/5100/1/WP 2015 rev A, the system meets exacting specifications for durability, tamper resistance, and modular installation across challenging ground profiles.

Each fencing bay is constructed with the following components:

  • Steel Pales – Corrugated W-section design, 2.5mm thick, extending 225mm above and 150mm below the rail line. Pre-drilled and single-pointed tops (rounded available on request).
  • RSA Rails – 45×45×6mm horizontal rails with 10mm face holes for solid pale/post anchoring.
  • RSJ Posts – 102×44×2325mm steel posts set at 2.75m intervals, designed with pointed tops.
  • Fixings – M8 and M12 bolts with shear nuts for secure installation of all fencing connections.

This integrated palisade system is supplied with galvanised protection to BS EN ISO 1461 or BS EN 10240, and is optionally powder coated in green (RAL6005) or black (RAL9005), with custom RAL colours available upon request. Designed to follow uneven site contours without compromising vertical integrity, the system ensures a strong visual and structural perimeter across varied terrain.

Whether specifying for commercial sites, Network Rail environments, or local authority compounds, HERMEQ’s fencing guarantees ease of installation, component consistency, and price-point suitability for projects of all scales. Users can access the Palisade Railway Calculator to plan bay layouts, post placements, and rail counts with precision.

HERMEQ stock a wide-range of Palisade Ultra, Palisade Standard, Palisade Railway, Safe Mesh and Domestic Railing options to suit every project type.
